Kansas City, Mo ? The Kansas City Royals activated right-hander Albie Lopez from the 15-day disabled list Monday and optioned left-hander Les Walrond, a Kansas University product, to Triple-A Omaha.

The move leaves the Royals without a left-hander reliever.

Lopez missed 26 games because of a strained groin. In five innings at Omaha, he didn’t allow a run and gave up just two hits.
