Kansas University has received a $253,000 federal grant to help low-income students prepare for college.

KU’s grant will help identify and prepare children for postsecondary degrees in math and science. Project participants learn from university faculty and other professionals engaged in research or applied science.

Kansas State University also received $255,000 for the project, and Wichita State University received $288,000.
