The Lawrence Chamber Orchestra’s annual meeting and social reception will be 2 p.m. today at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.

The event, which is open to the public, will include live music, refreshments and an announcement of the orchestra’s 2003-2004 season.

Orchestra board president Eric Williams will report on the orchestra’s organizational, financial and artistic condition.

“While reviewing the LCO archives, I discovered that we had not held a formal annual meeting for a number of years,” Williams said. “We decided it was important to return to this tradition as part of our accountability to the community of Lawrence, but this gathering will be informal. It will be festive as well as informative. Everyone is welcome to attend and hear what the Lawrence Chamber Orchestra is all about.”
