Cynthia Kay Bailly Kenton

? Services for Cynthia Kay Bailly Kenton, 48, Castle Rock, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Presbyterian Church, Castle Rock.

Mrs. Kenton died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Spearfish, S.D.

She was born Sept. 10, 1954, in Deadwood S.D., the daughter of John C. and Vera Joan (Derosier) Bailly. She graduated from Great Bend High School in 1972 and Kansas University in 1977. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Mrs. Kenton lived in Lawrence, Kan., for 12 years, where she taught at Cordley School before moving to Castle Rock. She continued to teach in both Elizabeth and Castle Rock.

She married James S. Kenton on May 28, 1978. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Christopher Kenton, Fort Collins; her stepfather, Walter Smith, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, John Bailly, Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Pamela Brannan, Highland Ranch; a stepbrother, David Smith, Leawood, Kan.; and two stepsisters, Sondra Dowling, El Paso, Texas, and Linda Cowan, Keene, N.H.
