RIVER FALLS, WIS. ? Todd Weger, a video assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs, remained hospitalized Monday with injuries he sustained in a training camp accident Friday.

“I went and saw him yesterday morning, spent an hour with him and his wife and family,” Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil said Monday. “He’s progressing nicely.”

Weger hit his head when he fell from a motorized cart which is used to ferry supplies around the practice field. He was taken to a hospital in nearby St. Paul, Minn.

Vermeil said he did not know when Weger might be released.

“They’re keeping him sedated because he tends to be a little aggressive when he’s totally conscious,” Vermeil said. “He told his wife, ‘Get me out of here.”‘
