Junction City ? Lawrence’s Outlaws have reached the finals of the Zone Four American Legion tournament.

The Outlaws, who downed Olathe East, 21-3, Thursday night, will meet Topeka 74 at 7 tonight in the finals.

An Outlaws win would force a second title game Saturday.

Zach Puckett went 4-for-5 with a triple, double and three RBIs versus Olathe East. Chris Gabriel had four hits, while Troy Van Horn was 2-4 with six RBIs, including a three-run double.

Paul Foltz and Derek Holland clubbed three hits apiece. Holland scored three runs, while Foltz also drew two walks.

Topeka 74 beat the Outlaws, 13-5, Wednesday. Aaron Westerhouse and Troy Van Horn had two hits apiece in the loss.

“We have our top two pitchers ready to go and all our relievers ready,” Outlaws coach Matt Schubert said. “We would love to join the Raiders in the state tournament and also represent Lawrence in Hays.”
