Welch services

FAIRWAY ? Services for Mary Gertrude Welch, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Old Mission United Methodist Church, Fairway.

Mrs. Welch died Thursday, June 17, 2003, in Lenexa.

She was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Larned, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Jones) Welch. She graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School in 1935. She received a master’s degree in mathematics from Kansas University in 1949.

Mrs. Welch taught at Shawnee Mission North High School for 41 years.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Welch Tuttle, Princeton, N.J.

Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan., is handling arrangements.
