Fields services

Valley Falls ? Services for Marjorie Ellen Newman Fields, 84, Henrietta, Mo., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Valley Falls United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Fields died Monday, July 21, 2003, at an Oskaloosa care facility.

She was born April 22, 1919, in Chanute, the daughter of Guy and Hazel (French) Noel. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1937.

Mrs. Fields was a bookkeeper for First National Bank, Topeka, and also was a bookkeeper for Newman Plumbing and Heating, Valley Falls.

She married Robert Newman. They later divorced. She married Emmett Fields. He died in May 2000.

Survivors include a son, Larry Newman, Topeka; two daughters, Linda Keesling, Perry, and Sheree Hinton, Germantown, Md.; a sister, Isa Faust, Topeka; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
