Tonganoxie ? The new Tonganoxie Museum is now open Wednesday mornings and Sunday afternoons.

The museum, which was dedicated during the Tonganoxie Days festival in mid-June, is at the Tonganoxie Community Historical Society Site, 201 W. Washington.

To get to the site, turn west off U.S. Highway 24-40 onto West Washington, go west a block to the entrance, which has a sign. The site includes a school, church and barn.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays, through September. It also is open by appointment by calling (913) 845-2477.
