Jess W. Hatton

? Services for Jess W. Hatton, 87, Wamego, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at RJ Evans Mortuary, Wamego. Burial will be in Wamego City Cemetery.

Mr. Hatton died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Valley Vista Good Samaritan Center in Wamego.

He was born April 22, 1916, in Webb City, Mo., the son of John Clifford and Eleen (Wright) Hatton.

Mr. Hatton served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later worked in maintenance at Kansas University. He moved to Wamego after his retirement in the 1970s. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion.

He married Ruby Kreighbaum on June 13, 1936, in Webb City. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a niece, Cathy Williams, Lawrence; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Barbara Jean Pope, died in 1999.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will receive them from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
