Frances Joan Welch

— Services for Frances Joan Welch, 66, Topeka, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Central Congregational Church, Topeka. Burial will be at Wheaton Congregational Cemetery, Wheaton.

Mrs. Welch died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in Lecompton.

She was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Wheaton, the daughter of Louis W. and Esther L. (Force) Henneberg. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1954.

Mrs. Welch was employed by the state of Kansas division of purchases. Most recently, she held the position of procurement officer. She has served as president of American Business Women's Assn. and was a member of Central Congregational Church.

She married George Welch on Oct. 23, 1955, in Wheaton. He survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Beth Ann Kelley, Lecompton; two brothers, Dean Henneberg, Belvue, and Milton Henneberg, Wheaton; four sisters, Fay Wirt, Clay Center, Mary Smith, Topeka, Vera Marten, Onaga, and Eva Brunkow, Topeka; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka.

The family suggests memorials to Wheaton Congregational Cemetery, sent in care of the funeral home, 1321 S.W. 10th St., Topeka 66604.
