Renegades sweep twinbill

? Three Lawrence Renegades pitchers gave up just one run in two games Friday at the Worth Harley Davidson Tournament.

Lawrence (23-8) defeated K.C. Old Ballgame, 5-1, before hammering the Belton (Mo.) Diamondbacks, 14-0, in a game that ended after three innings because of the mercy rule.

Nick Walters (2-3) pitched five-plus innings for the win in the opener. Spence Chaney entered the game with the bases loaded and no outs in the sixth and got out of the jam.

Ryne Jackson (5-1) earned the victory in the nightcap.
