Scarbrough services
Services for Leonard H. Scarbrough, 69, Olathe, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mr. Scarbrough died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Howe, Okla., the son of Luther H. and Emma (Jacobs) Scarbrough. He had lived in Olathe the past 25 years.
Mr. Scarbrough joined the U.S. Air Force after his high school graduation in Oklahoma. He retired as a technical sergeant on Oct. 31, 1974. He then worked for building maintenance for Olathe public schools until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Assembly of God Church.
He married Mary Alice Patton on July 10, 1958. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Leonard Jr., Olathe, and Kevin, Lawrence; two daughters, Susan Bost, Lawrence, and Ila Scarbrough, Olathe; a sister, Barbara Ann Dorey, Poteau, Okla.; and a half sister, Irene Scroggins, Eureka, Calif.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Leonard H. Scarbrough Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary.
