Larry D. Purvis

Topeka ? Services for Larry D. Purvis, 65, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.

Mr. Purvis died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at a Topeka care facility.

He was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Lawrence, the son of Gilbert and Rachel (Stout) Purvis. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1956. He moved to Topeka in the late 1950s.

Mr. Purvis worked at Bob’s Body Shop for several years, then owned and operated Larry’s Body Shop for many years.

He married Rosemary S. Schwartz on Oct. 23, 1959, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Jean Schneider, Jan Burrous and Pam Cohee, all of Topeka; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
