Jayhawk commitment switches pledge to KSU

Rashaad Norwood won’t be coming to Kansas University, after all.

Norwood, a 6-foot-5, 211-pound tight end/defensive end from Kansas City (Kan.) Schlagle High who orally committed to KU, Wednesday changed his mind and gave a pledge to Kansas State.

“He’s decided that it’s Kansas State,” Schlagle coach Steve Szczygiel told rivals.com. “Rashaad called Kansas and told them that he was going up at K-State. … KU and coach (Dave) Doeren did all the right things, but I think Rashaad decided he wanted to play for national championships and in big bowl games.”
