In addition to the five Kansas University student original plays and the student production of Euripides’ “Iphigenia at Aulis,” 10 KU theater students will compete Jan. 21-26 in the Irene Ryan Acting Competition at the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. They are:

• Mo Perry, Eden Prairie, Minn., senior; and Christopher Wheatley, Lawrence junior; both from the cast of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona”
• Joe Boothe, Overland Park senior; Megan Carter, Overland Park sophomore; and Allison Gabbard, Topeka senior; all from the cast of “Iphigenia at Aulis”
• Julia Hardin, Lawrence junior; Joe Plese, Overland Park senior; and Bobby Sloan, Great Bend junior; all from the cast of “Where to, Turelu?”
• Matt Greer, Tulsa, Okla., junior; and Kelly Mengelkoch, Wichita senior; both from the cast of “You Never Can Tell.”
