Bauman-Christiansen

Deborah Bauman, Lawrence, and Adam Christiansen, Manhattan, were married Aug. 2, 2002, in Leavenworth with the Rev. Angelito Samson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Janet Bauman, Lawrence. The groom is the son of David Christiansen, Wisconsin, and Rosemary Abbinanti, Chicago.

Maid of honor was Raven Libey. Best man was Douglas Davidson. Bridesmaids were Kristal Bauman and Courtney Tucker. Groomsmen were Douglas Branham and Brian Bogart. Candle lighters were Marissa Bartling and Tyler Dark. Bonner Dark was flower girl. Skyler Bauman was ring bearer. Collin Boshold was page.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Riverview Room of the Community Building in Leavenworth.

The bride is a graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School and Lawrence Career College. She is a certified medical assistant and certified phlebotomist. The groom serves in the Army.

The couple reside in Oahu, Hawaii.

Ihrig-Spurlock

Lisa Ann Ihrig, Wichita, and Charles Scott Spurlock, Blountstown, Fla., were married June 15, 2002, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Tom Stallworth officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Fred and Maxine Ihrig, Wichita. The groom is the son of Sandra Drake and Jerry Spurlock, both of Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Amy Luce. Bridesmaids were Charissa Ahlstedt and Amy Spurlock. Best man was Joe Stiles. Groomsmen were Jeff Lane and Ryan Box.

Flower girl was Hady Arevalo. Ring bearer was Josue Arevalo. Candle lighters were Natgelli Arevalo and Darcy Keling. Andy Stiles, Matt Stiles, Andrew Stallworth and Brock Orchard were ushers. Katie Stiles was guest book attendant and gifts table attendant. Pianist was Hattie Welch. Vocalists were Ester Arevalo, Abraham Arevalo, Malaika Woods and Scott Smith.

A reception followed the ceremony. The reception hostesses and servers were Vicki Keling, Mary Lafferty, Becky Stiles, Lilia Arevalo, Angela Guzman and Lorie Orchard. Wedding coordinator was Linda Dick.

The bride graduated from Wichita South High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Kansas University. She is employed at Altha School in Altha, Fla.

The groom graduated from Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Kansas University and master of arts degree in Christian education at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. He is serving as minister to youth and senior adults at First Baptist Church in Blountstown, Fla. He also is the varsity girls basketball coach at Blountstown High School.

The couple reside in Blountstown, Fla.
