Paul David Shackelford

Mr. Shackelford died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at KU Med in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Lloyd and Doris Ellen (Ryan) Shackelford.

Mr. Shackelford served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He owned A-1 City Cab Company and worked at F.M.C., both in Lawrence.

He married Janet S. (Reynolds) Willis on Feb. 2, 2000, in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, David, Vandalia, Ohio; a daughter, Nicky Shackelford, Vandalia; two stepsons, Jonathan Willis and David Willis Jr., both of Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Willis, Lawrence; a stepfather, John Jensen, Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Lloyd, Lawrence, Billy Trinkel, Kansas City, Kan., and Steve Trinkel, La Cygne; a sister, Kathy Fotovich, Riverside, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
