Seabury girls win, boys fall

? A banner night for Laura Frizell resulted in a rejuvenating victory for Seabury Academy’s girls basketball squad.

Frizell had 10 points, 11 steals and five rebounds to lead the Seahawks to a 25-16 victory against Topeka Heritage Christian on Monday. Regan Sisson added six points for Seabury (2-3), which held Heritage to just three first-half points.

Seahawks coach Tracy Kitson said Heritage was evolving into somewhat of a rival, adding to the win.

“This is really a confidence-booster for us,” Kitson said. “It’s great to start out back from Christmas break with a win.”

The Seabury boys weren’t as pleased with Monday’s trip, losing 37-28 to Heritage. Grayson Dillon had 11 points to lead the Seahawks

Coach Marcus Heckman said Kris Finger played tenacious defense.

“The shots we got were actually pretty good, we just aren’t hitting them,” Heckman said.

The Seahawk boys and girls squads return home for a game Friday against Metro Academy.
