Cub Scout Pack 3056, chartered to Lecompton United Methodist Church, had its third annual Space Derby in December.

In longest flight, Justin Marion placed first; Quintin Sledd placed second; and Austin Sledd placed third. Brendan Neal won the most colorful prize for his ship with a U.S. flag motif. The most unique design prize went to Dalton Bahnmaier for his “cheesemobile.” William McDuffitt won the prize for the shortest flight.

Venturing Crew 3052 went camping Dec. 20-21 at Bromelsick. The crew members hiked, did orienteering and planned activities for the next sixth months. Girls attending were Christy Howard, Anna Robertson, Kym Scafe, Clarissa Wagner and Desiree Richmond. Adult leaders were Rose Wagner, Cathy Howard, Nancy Wilson, Kim Zinn, Robin Robertson and Ralena McCurdy.
