Frank ‘Jamie’ James Gestl Jr.

Topeka ? Services for Frank “Jamie” James Gestl Jr., 19, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka. Cremation will follow, and inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.

Mr. Gestl died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at a Topeka hospital from injuries suffered in a car accident.

He was born April 4, 1983, in Alva, Okla., the son of Frank J. Gestl Sr. He was raised in Salina and had lived in Topeka since 2000.

Mr. Gestl graduated in 2001 from Shawnee Heights High School, where he was a member of ROTC. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at the Kmart Distribution Center in Lawrence.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Frank and Kelly Gestl, Topeka; a brother, Brian, Topeka; a sister, Megan Gestl, Topeka; a stepbrother, Drew Goracke, Pomona; a stepsister, Heather Goracke, Topeka; paternal grandparents, Paul and Theresa Gestl, Salina; maternal grandparents, Roy and Norma Hawkins, Pomona; and his fiancee, Sarah Watkins, Topeka.

Friends may call after noon Monday at the funeral chapel.
