Dallas ? The Dallas Theological Seminary is mourning the loss of the Rev. John F. Walvoord, a longtime president and chancellor of the evangelical Christian school who died Dec. 21. He was 92.

Walvoord was an expert in biblical prophecy and wrote 30 books, including “Armageddon, Oil and the Middle East Crisis,” which sold more than 2 million copies in 16 languages.

Walvoord served as seminary president for 34 years until he moved into the chancellor’s job in 1986.
