Louisville, Ky. — Pro scouts project Louisville defensive end Dewayne White as a second-round draft choice and that made him decide Friday to skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

Columbia, Mo. — Missouri University freshman quarterback Brad Smith on Friday was named a first-team freshman All-American by the Football Writers’ Association of America.

Boise State receiver charged with obstruction
