4-H AND FCE News

The Meadowlark 4-H Club met Dec. 15 at Mr. Gatti’s.

Club members made tray favors for the Meels on Wheels program. The club discussed Club Days and planned a trips committee. Members had a gift exchange. The club then went caroling at Fire Station No. 2. They attended 4-H Sunday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

The club’s next meeting will be 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The program will be given by the arts and crafts project members. Members of the Randall family will serve as hosts.

India FCE will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Regina Shaver.

The topic will be decorating with antiques by Darlene Bright.

The Lone Star 4-H Club met in December. Members answered roll call by saying their middle name.

Volunteers were selected for the County Concession Stand Committee and for judging Shawnee County Club Days. It was also voted on to give $200 to CWF.

The club’s next meeting will be Jan. 13 at Wakarusa Valley School.
