Melissa Mossett of Haskell Indian Nations University has earned a first-team berth on the All-Midland Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball team.

Mossett, a 5-foot-10 junior from Twin Buttes, N.D., led the Fightin’ Indians in scoring (14.6) and rebounding (6.4) last season. The Indians finished with a 9-16 overall record and went 5-9 in the MCAC.

HINU’s Mellissa Catron and Kateri Schaaf were accorded second-team berths. Schaaf, a 5-6 senior from Auburn, Wash., averaged 12.7 points a game, and Catron, a 5-8 junior from Stilwell, Okla., averaged 12.1 points.
