Nellie J. Eudy Deaver Smart

Mrs. Smart died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Hickory Pointe Care Center, where she had lived for the past six years.

Mrs. Smart was born Dec. 26, 1905, in Columbus, Ind., the daughter of Adam and Mayme (Rambo) Eudy. She lived in Columbus most of her life.

She was a homemaker. She married Alton Deaver. He died earlier. She married Russell Smart in 1964. He died in 1967.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Deaver, McLouth; a brother, Dan Eudy, Columbus; two sisters, Ruth Butler and Harriet Quillen, both of Columbus; four grandchildren, a stepgrandchild and several great-grandchildren.

A son, Donald Deaver, died earlier.
