David “Fuzzy” Lavenburg

? Services for David “Fuzzy” Lavenburg, 56, DeSoto, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, DeSoto. Burial will be in DeSoto Cemetery.

Mr. Lavenburg died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 6, 1946, in Baltimore, the son of Gerald and Iona Lavenburg.

Mr. Lavenburg was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a registered land surveyor and had worked for TransSystems Corp. since 1984.

He was a member of the Kansas City Area Historic Trails Assn., Kansas Society of Land Surveyors, Missouri Society for Professional Surveyors, Kansas City Metro Surveyors Assn., Missouri Civil War Reenactment Assn. and the Jackson Light Artillery, DeSoto.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne, of the home; a daughter, Jillene Lavenburg, Lawrence; a brother, James Richards, Arnold, Md.; a sister, Ruth Young, Asheville, N.C.; and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
