Judge issues warrant for Robinson’s arrest

? Atlanta Hawks forward Glenn Robinson failed to appear in court on misdemeanor charges Thursday and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

The warrant does not extend beyond Illinois state lines.

“When and if he comes back into the state, he can be picked up on this warrant. There won’t be any pursuit of this outside of the state,” said Tom Stanton, a spokesman in the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

Robinson, then with the Milwaukee Bucks, was arrested in July 2002 on charges of domestic battery, assault and illegal possession of a firearm.

When he failed to appear at a courthouse in Markham, Ill., Thursday, Cook County Circuit Judge John Turner issued the warrant for his arrest.

The Hawks are scheduled to play in Chicago on Feb. 28.
