Patricia Anne Barnes

Mrs. Barnes died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Elkhart, the daughter of Robert and Anne (Vincent) Bundy. She graduated from Ottawa High School and Ottawa University. She lived in Ottawa and Topeka before moving to Lawrence.

Mrs. Barnes was a home economics teacher at Ottawa Junior High School and later director of dormitory facilities at Kansas School for the Blind in Topeka.

She was married to and divorced from Lee Dixon Hughs and Charles W. Barnes.

Survivors include a son, Michael R. Hughs, Topeka; a daughter, Julie Bauer, Clay Center; two brothers, Robert Bundy, Topeka, and Bruce Bundy, Lawrence; two sisters, Barbara Bueller, Lafayette, Colo., and Beverly Fulton, Manhattan; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Robert and Anne Bundy Scholarship Fund, sent in care of Ottawa University.
