— Memorial services for Robert Thomas Hatfield, 38, Fairfield Bay, Ark., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Fairfield Bay. A second memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 22 at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls, Kan.

Mr. Hatfield died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2003, in Fairfield Bay.

He was born Dec. 16, 1964, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Gene and Jane (Gray) Hatfield. He graduated in 1983 from William Fremd High School in Palatine, Ill., and earned a degree at Kansas University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Mr. Hatfield was assistant manager of Dollar General Store in Fairfield Bay. He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Shirley.

Survivors include two daughters, Megan Hatfield and Amanda Hatfield, both of Clinton, Iowa; his parents, Fairfield Bay; a brother, Doug, Morrilton; and three sisters, Linda Hatfield Tjemlund, Waukegan, Ill., Sandy Hatfield Mitsch, Gumee, Ill., and Beverly Hatfield Kelley, Lawrence, Kan.

The family suggests memorials to the Megan and Amanda Hatfield Education Fund, sent in care of Douglas County Bank, Lawrence.

Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Fairfield Bay is in charge of arrangements.
