Della Fay Schoonover

? Services for Della Fay Schoonover, 71, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa with Veterans of Foreign War services. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mrs. Schoonover died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa.

She was born May 30, 1931, in Princeton, the daughter of Clarence William and Grace Elizabeth Irene (Hubbard) Miller. She attended Ottawa High School with the class of 1949. She moved to California in 1969 and lived in Los Angeles and San Diego before returning to Ottawa in 1972.

Mrs. Schoonover was an inspector for Bendix-King Radio in Ottawa for 17 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and later attended Agape Christian Center. She was also a member of VFW Memorial Post No. 5901 Auxiliary, and Aerie Lodge No. 2700 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

She married Ralph H. Schoonover on Sept. 22, 2951, in Yuma, Ariz. He died Jan. 7, 1978.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Kaye Beatty Sanchez, Altus, Okla.; a son, J.W. Schoonover, Ottawa; a half-brother, Paul Miller, Illinois; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A son, Andy Sterling Schoonover, and a great-granddaughter died earlier.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. today until service time at the mortuary, where family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
