Kansas University’s football recruiting class remained unchanged Thursday from the 26-player group announced Wednesday on national signing day, but KU dipped from 33rd to 40th in rivals.com rankings.

The shakeup is likely due to late signings on Thursday by highly rated players who waited to make decisions.

Oklahoma had the top-rated class in the nation among Big 12 Conference programs, ranking fifth on the rivals.com list. Texas A&M was ninth. Oklahoma State and Texas tied for 15th and Colorado was 19th, followed by Missouri (28th), Nebraska (38), KU, Texas Tech (44) and Iowa State (46th). Kansas State, which signed several highly touted players but had a relatively small class, ranked 60th. Baylor, which switched coaches in the offseason, was last in the league and 76th in the nation.
