Bobbitt rejoins Bearcats

Cincinnati -- Reserve guard Tony Bobbitt rejoined Cincinnati's basketball team Thursday after quitting earlier this week.

Bobbitt, a 6-foot-4 junior, didn't practice with the team Monday or Tuesday. The university announced Wednesday that Bobbitt would remain in school but no longer play basketball. He was not with the team for its 77-71 loss at No. 5 Louisville on Wednesday but met with coach Bob Huggins on Thursday and asked to be reinstated.

AD Broyles rips official

Fayetteville, Ark. -- Arkansas athletic director Frank Broyles criticized a referee's performance after the Razorbacks' game with Alabama, then apologized Thursday. After Arkansas defeated No. 22 Alabama 81-70 Wednesday night, Broyles twice yelled at official Tom Eades: "You're the worst I've ever seen." Arkansas fans nearby cheered and Eades continued down a tunnel to a locker room. Witnesses said Eades turned around to go back toward the court, but was restrained by police.
