John Buford Anderson

Ottawa ? Services for John Buford Anderson, 99, Ottawa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at 15th Street Church of Christ in Ottawa. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Anderson died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Ottawa Retirement Village.

He was born Nov. 2, 1903, in Odessa, Mo., the son of William Sidney and Emma Mary (Anson) Anderson. He lived in several cities throughout the Midwest before moving to Ottawa in 1970.

Mr. Anderson was a farmer and stockman in the Ottawa area. He was a member of 15th Street Church of Christ.

He married Bessie Mabel Landes on May 3, 1954, in Taos, N.M. She died Jan. 9, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Mummert, Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Dona Jackson, died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the church.
