Notes: The Lions took third at last week’s Firebird Winter Classic, beating Free State 66-32 on Saturday. … It was the first time in four games LHS scored more than 60 points. … Juniors Cherrale Ricks and Josie Polk were named to the All-Tournament team. … Polk leads the Lions in scoring at 17.9 points per game, followed by Ricks (12.9) and junior Rachael Klingler (8.7). Klingler played sparingly in the tournament because of a strained right arch. … LHS (10-2) had won nine straight games before losing to Wichita North, 60-46, in Friday’s semifinals. It was the school’s longest streak since the 1991-92 season, when the Lions had nine-game and 11-game win streaks. … SM North (5-7) is coming off an 84-43 loss to Derby in the Wichita Kapaun Tournament on Saturday. … The Indians beat LHS 65-61 last season.

FSHS is 0-5 in league play. …The Vikings edged Free State, 44-43, last season.

Notes: The Seahawks held Flint Hills Christian to just four fourth-quarter points in their 27-22 win on Friday. … It was Seabury’s third straight win, all by four points or less. … The Seahawks (4-6) were led by senior Aaron Landis’ nine points and freshman Adam Davis’ seven. … Seabury played without starters Grayson Dillon and Matt Parker. Dillon broke his thumb, and is expected to be out for the year. Parker sustained a collapsed lung. His status for the rest of the season is uncertain.
