Commission approves North Lawrence flooding study
The Lawrence City Commission met briefly this morning in a year-end wrapup session to deal with an issue on the minds of North Lawrence residents every time there’s a prolonged period of rain — flooding.
The commission approved a $282,000 study of North Lawrence, to determine which areas are most prone to flooding, why and what to do about it.
The commission returns to its regular meeting schedule at 6:45 p.m. next Tuesday in City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.
