Chenhall services

Graveside services for Marjorie M. Chenhall, 94, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita with honors by Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Chenhall died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born Oct. 17, 1909, in Marion, the daughter of Joseph A. and Mabel Carroll. She graduated from Marion High School.

Mrs. Chenhall worked as a secretary most of her life and retired from American Optical in the mid-1960s. She moved to Lawrence from Wichita 12 years ago.

She was a member of the North Star Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in Wichita, where she served as past worthy matron.

She married James L. Chenhall on Dec. 23, 1933. He died in 1984.

Survivors include a son, Ray Chenhall, Lecompton; a grandson; and two great-grandsons.

The family suggests memorials to Shriners Burn Center, sent in care of Lawrence Funeral Chapel.
