Dorcas F. Welch

? Services for Dorcas F. Welch, 90, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Perry Christian Church. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry.

Mrs. Welch died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.

She was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Perry, the daughter of Charles M. and Cora Ethel (Gilfillen) Tyrrell. She graduated from Perry Rural High School in 1932.

Mrs. Welch had worked as a billing clerk for Sears and Roebuck Co. in Kansas City, Kan. She was co-owner of Welch Wood Products and Gunstock, Perry, from 1945 to 1976. She lived in Perry until 1989, when she moved to Topeka.

She was a member of Perry Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and pianist. She later attended Central Christian Church in Topeka and volunteered for Doorstep of Topeka.

She married Earl C. Welch on May 6, 1939, in Kansas City, Kan. He died May 1, 1976.

Survivors include two sisters, Ramona Faulkner and Marie Allen, both of Topeka.

Family will receive friends from noon until service time Monday at the church.
