Ida Christine Hornberger

Mrs. Hornberger died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, in Lawrence.

She was born April 18, 1916, in Perry, Okla., the daughter of Julius and Ida (Gastrock) Ziesch. She attended school in Baldwin.

Mrs. Hornberger was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary and Garden Club in Baldwin. She was also a member of Lawrence Autumn Club.

She married Julius Hornberger on April 14, 1940, in Worden. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Julian Hornberger, Lawrence; a daughter, Joyce McEvoy, Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Arthur Ziesch, Baldwin; a sister, Frieda Primm, Olathe; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A granddaughter, Debbi Heide, died earlier.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin.
