Leslie Vernon Horton
Arlington, Texas ? Services for Leslie Vernon Horton, 74, Arlington, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at noon in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Mr. Horton died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003 at a local hospital.
He was born June 30, 1929, in Cushing, Okla., the son of Vernon and Lena Horton.
Mr. Horton was retired from the Air Force and civil service. He once worked as an administrative technician at the Kansas National Guard Armory in Lawrence, Kan.
He and his wife, Verna, lived in Lawrence for several years. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Shipman, Claremore, Okla.; two stepsons, David Harrell, Fort Worth, and Donald Harrell, Sparks, Nev.; a brother, Jim Horton, Phoenix; a sister, Faye Giblin, Pryor, Okla.; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3301 W. Freeway, Fort Worth 76107.
