Wustefeld services
A memorial mass for Emma N. Wustefeld, 106, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Baldwin.
Mrs. Wustefeld died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at Eudora Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 11, 1897, in Douglas County, the daughter of Ernest J. and Nathalie E. (Cayot) Rousselo. She moved to Iola and graduated from Hazlett Institute of Business. She moved to Lawrence from Greeley in 1941.
Mrs. Wustefeld was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Society.
She married Louis J. Wustefeld in 1923 in Iola. He died in 1962.
A son, Robert A. Wustefeld, also died earlier.
Survivors include two sons, Maurice A. Wustefeld and Richard C. Wustefeld, both of Lawrence; a daughter, Lois D. Wustefeld, Lawrence; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Capuchin-Franciscan Province of Mid-America or Eudora Nursing Center, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
