‘Summer’s Radiance’
The sun kisses my skin
As I bask in this plush, pink inflatable raft.
My toes dangle into the turquoise-blue pool water,
Cooling them from the sun’s lustrous glow.
Around the swimming pool, vibrantly painted flowers sway,
Dancing to the song of summer.
In the titanic trees behind me,
Birds chorus in the afternoon’s freshness
As tiny insects trudge
Alongside the ground’s mountainous pebbles.
Today, I am this summer day.
Beaming and refreshed,
I am released from yesterday’s rumbling storms.
