Ottawa University running back Derrick Ward has been selected to play in the Blue-Gray All-Star Classic on Christmas Day in Troy, Ala.

Ward, a 6-foot, 242-pounder, led the NAIA in rushing with 2,061 yards on 263 carries. A transfer from Fresno State, Ward also scored 28 touchdowns and was named KCAC player of the year.

Ward, a native of Glendale, Calif., broke five OU records.
