Penn State women stun No. 2 Texas, 79-59

? Kelly Mazzante scored 15 of her 19 points in the second half, and Penn State extended its home winning streak to 22 games while handing Texas its first loss, 79-59, Sunday. The Lions (5-1) hadn’t beaten an opponent ranked so high in 11 seasons. Tanisha Wright scored 21 points for Penn State, and Jess Strom had 19 points, seven steals and six assists. Heather Shreiber led UT (7-1) with 17 points.

No. 16 Oklahoma 73, No. 19 Utah 65

Norman, Okla. — Dionnah Jackson scored 17 points, and Caton Hill added 16 to help Oklahoma remain unbeaten.

Utah was in front 28-27 with six minutes left in the first half when Oklahoma (6-0) took command with three consecutive three-pointers — two by Hill.

Kim Smith had 18 points and Mandie Little 16 for Utah (5-2), which had won four straight.
