Arick E. Huggins

Memorial services for Arick E. Huggins, 37, Baldwin, will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Danforth Chapel at Kansas University.

Mr. Huggins died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in rural Douglas County. He was cremated.

He was born Feb. 25, 1966, in Topeka, the son of Larry Huggins and Michaele (Shankland) Willis. He grew up in the Topeka area and graduated from Shawnee Heights High School. He then studied vocational agriculture at Kaw Area Vocational-Technical School.

Mr. Huggins was a veterinary technician at Kansas University, and he also was associated with WildCare, a wildlife rehabilitation organization.

Survivors include three sons, Nuely, Jake and Aden, all of Baldwin; his mother and her husband, Jay Willis, Baldwin; his father, Topeka; two sisters, Laura Leathers, Topeka, and Annette Huggins, Lawrence; and grandparents Wilma Huggins and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shankland, all of Topeka.

Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin, is handling arrangements.
