In high school: Brk graduated as one of the top wrestlers in Free State High’s brief history. He was a four-time state qualifier, a three-time team captain and was the state runner-up as a junior in 2001, wrestling in the 215-pound weight class.

Where is he now?: Brk took his talent to the west coast, shed some pounds and now wrestles in the 197-pound weight class at Stanford. As a freshman last year, Brk had a 6-9 record in an injury-plagued season. So far this year, Brk is 9-5, with one of his victories coming Nov. 19 after a pin of San Francisco State’s Luis Robles in the fifth minute.
