Dekalb, Ill. ? The Kansas University volleyball squad split two matches Saturday at the Best Western Inns and Suites Invitational.

The Jayhawks (2-1) beat Liberty, 3-0, then later lost to Northern Illinois, 3-1, in the tournament championship match.

Freshman Janaina Correa totaled 29 kills and senior Sarah Rome had 21 digs in the two games.

Correa and junior Ashley Michaels were named to the all-tournament team.

The Jayhawks head Friday to Minneapolis for the Nike Invitational.
