KU women’s hoops adds Galligan

August 24, 2003

Kate Galligan, a former guard at Nebraska, has been named an assistant women's basketball coach at Kansas University.

"She was a standout player at Nebraska, a real hard worker on the floor and a strong contributor for their program," KU coach Marian Washington said.

Washington also announced the addition of Keshana Ledet as administrative assistant. Ledet played for the Jayhawks 1994-96.

Galligan replaces Pam DeCosta, who took the head-coaching job at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. Galligan spent the last two years as an assistant at Texas-Pan American.
