Robyn Renee Curtis

? Services for Robyn Renee Curtis, 23, Carbondale, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Overbrook. Burial will be in Carbondale Cemetery.

Ms. Curtis died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, near Ottawa when a pickup truck struck the motorcycle she was sitting on by the side of Old Highway 50.

She was born Sept. 30, 1979, in Topeka, the daughter of Lee W. and Darlene (McCoy) Curtis. She grew up in Carbondale and graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1998. She attended Neosho County Junior College.

Ms. Curtis was a server for an Applebee’s in Topeka and an attendant for the Resource Center for Independent Living in Osage City.

Survivors include her parents, Carbondale; two brothers, Rick Curtis, Carbondale, and James Curtis, Topeka; a grandmother, Jenny Walters, Denver; and a great-grandmother, Ella Curtis, Rapid City, S.D.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church, where family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
