Curtis T. ‘Tom’ McGown

Basehor ? Services for Curtis T. “Tom” McGown, 58, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Basehor United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Basehor.

Mr. McGown died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 29, 1945, in Beaumont, Texas, the son of Arthur Curtis and Frances (Draschil) McGown. He graduated from Rice University in Houston in 1968.

Mr. McGown was a certified public accountant for Cochran, Head and Co. in Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of United Methodist Church and Kiwanis Club International, both of Basehor; Musica Sacra, Rockhurst College, Kansas City, Mo.; American Institute of CPAs; and Kansas Society of CPAs.

He married Marilyn Beam on Sept. 5, 1977, in Houston. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Cameron, Overland Park, and Tyler, Tonganoxie; and a sister, Marydell McGowan, Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, was in charge of arrangements.
